As the shadows grow shorter, so do our sleeves, our skirts & our attention spans. Ladies. Summer is nearly upon us & it is high time we get out & go exploring. We've all been cooped up far too long anyway.
With the weather warming up & that early morning chill all but gone, it is absolutely time we embrace the most delightful of annual garments.
The Sun Dress.
There is a sundress for literally every occasion! Your best friend's wedding? Kid sister's baby shower? Summer music festival? Picnic date? Road trip? Need I go on?
There are like a million reasons to wear these summer essentials. But the best reason? No reason at all. Seriously, do you need a reason to feel your best? To feel comfy, confident & free? No. The answer is no. You definitely do not need a reason to wear a sundress, all you need to wear a sundress is a sundress.
You can toss on a cute micro floral baby doll, cinched at the waist, with a pair of Chucks or Doc Martens for an immediate 90's skater girl vibe, layer a lightweight oversized flannel with leather or a denim jacket for the cooler evenings to truly channel your inner grunge girl.
You can toss on a wrap dress & dress it up with heels, a statement necklace & earings to emanate an elegant & classy it girl vibe. Sun going down? Pair it with a blazer & slay the sunset.
Looking to make some waves? Hit the beach with a spaghetti strap maxi over your fave 2 piece, slip on some Havaianas and make tracks in the sand as you soak up that sun in style. Just don't forget your go-to shades & a wide brimmed hat. Your cheeks will thank you.
What else says summer like the lightweight & flowy freedom provided by a slinky sundress?
I'll wait. But seriously, as the days grow longer and the temperatures rise, I suggest we all don our fave baby dolls, flouncy florals or whimsical crochet frocks, throw our locks in an updo & chase down those ice cream trucks.
Adventure awaits, the outdoors are great again, our bikes may need oil & for sure our tans do, so don't delay & hey, we've all put on at least a few extra ounces with all that time around the house, so, if your go-to midi isn't fitting like she used to, don't sweat it, we've got you covered.
