There are a lot of pros to a mismatched bridesmaid look for your wedding. Not only does it look stunning in photos, but it can give your bridesmaids a chance to feel like themselves! You can have as much or as little control as you feel comfortable with when choosing mismatched dresses. One of the easiest ways to help your bridesmaids see your vision is by giving them inspiration photos to go off of. This is so helpful if you are letting your bridesmaids shop for their own dresses.

Have A Color Palette

One of my favorite tips is to give your bridesmaids paint swatches! If you can decide beforehand who will wear what color/shade, give each girl their specific color in the form of a paint swatch. This way they can bring it with them shopping to make sure they get exactly what you want!

Be Specific

While you certainly can give your bridesmaids a bit more freedom if you choose, it's important to be specific in what you're expecting for your bridesmaids dresses. If you want/don't want certain textures, patterns, styles, or colors, make sure to make that clear to your girls.

Give Your Bridesmaids A Say In What Color + Style They Wear

If allowing your bridesmaids to feel comfortable in their dresses is important to you, give them a say in what they wear. Allow them to make suggestions on the style, length, and maybe even color. Remember that your wedding is still your choice, so allow yourself to have as much control as you need over the situation, but this way your bridesmaids can choose something they know they will feel beautiful in.
