  • Our Guide To Wedding Guest Attire

    March 26, 2021 2 min read

Wedding season is just around the corner! Get prepared now by stocking up on the perfect wedding guest outfits. Don't know what to wear? No worries, we've created a guide to wedding guest attire to keep you dressed appropriately and fashionably at all of your besties' weddings this season.

Keep It Casual...But Not Too Casual

The key to choosing the perfect outfit as a wedding guest is to look like you're supposed to be there, and we know this can be hard. Just try to stick with a cute semi-casual dress or a nice pantsuit. Try to avoid jeans or anything too casual. A nice dress is usually a safe bet. These casual mini dresses are a great option.

    Dress Weather Appropriate

Don't wear a mini dress to a winter wedding, and maybe avoid the cardigan at a summer wedding. This small thing makes a big difference in how you look as a guest at any wedding.

    Don't Wear White

This one is kind of obvious, but just don't do it. Even if the bride is wearing a dress that isn't white, try your absolute hardest to not wear white. There are so many stunning options that aren't white that you will look gorgeous in (like these).

Do Your Best To Read The Room

While we agree that usually it's better to overdress than to underdress, try to avoid wearing a ballgown to a small backyard gathering. Consider the bride and groom, the location, and the weather. These will help you decipher the appropriate vibe to wear to the wedding.

    Dress Comfortably

Odds are, it's going to be a long night. Avoid setting yourself up for an uncomfortable evening by wearing a comfortable outfit and even more comfortable shoes. You're going to be grateful you did. Attending a wedding as a guest doesn't require your most fashionable pieces, just wear something you feel good in and go from there. Here are some great footwear options for the wedding.

    Don't Stress Too Much

At the end of the day, what you wear to the wedding doesn't matter as much as it feels like it does. Rock that dress that's been in your closet forever, or treat yourself and buy a new one for the occasion. You'll look great either way.
