A Letter To Moms

May 11, 2021 2 min read

This is a letter to all moms.

To The Working Moms

Whether you work to make ends meet, or because you chose not to sacrifice your career or being a mother, being a working mom is a lot of work. You work all day and then come home to your second job. You feel pressure from society to be more present in your children's lives (the kind of pressure that men don't have to deal with). Some moms bring their children to work with them, others bring work home. Some get nannies or daycare. No matter how you're doing it, you're doing it in the best way that you can. And that's enough.

To The Stay At Home Moms

You long for adult interaction. You work hard in your home to take care of your children. You sometimes go under-appreciated. You give up on your dreams for you children. You feel tired and worn-out. Your struggles are valid. Just know that the way you are there for your kids is worth more than you'll ever know.

To The Single Moms

Whatever the reason is that you're raising your kids on your own doesn't matter, it's hard. You're doing the work of 2 (and often even more) people all by yourself. You work to provide for your children, you cook and clean and raise them without a partner by your side. You're a superhero.

To The Moms Who Have Lost A Child

Even though your child may not physically be here with you on earth, you are still that child's mother. That child still needs you. There's nothing wrong with you. You didn't make any mistakes, and no, you don't deserve this. You are going through a pain too intense for most. You are strong.

To The Women Who Long For Motherhood

Whether you're waiting for the right time in life, or you struggle with infertility, your child/children will wait for you. You'll be with them soon.
